About Us

Morpeth Horse Riders all share a passion for trail riding and are based in the Lower Hunter Region.

Our rides take us from Bulahdelah to Wollombi and anywhere in between. From beautiful state forest areas on rain forest tracks with water crossings, to the mountains or through cattle grazing country, even to the beach. The rides are generally 3-4 hours in duration with between 10-20 riders per ride, and are a group of mixed ages.

Safety is our main priority; therefore rides are mostly at walking pace to allow for all levels of riding skills.

We are a social club, with weekend camp overs and sometimes a BBQ after our rides. This allows everyone a chance to relax after time in the saddle.

You do need to be self sufficient with your own horse and float, and be able to demonstrate an adequate horse riding ability to ensure your safety and that of other riders. You will need to be saddled up and ready to ride at the appointed start time. Ride conveners and safety officers are appointed for every ride to make sure the day goes smoothly and all riders experience a quality ride.

We are one of the oldest riding clubs in the Hunter with an exceptional safety record.
